Community Centre

Our Community Centre is run by a Committee of Trustees made up of volunteers from the local community. We are  entirely self-funded, covering our running costs through hire fees supplemented by grants and fundraising.

It's made up of two function rooms – The Main Hall and The Lounge. Both rooms are connected to the fully fitted Kitchen via a serving hatch and in addition the Main Hall has a licensed bar.

If you would like to arrange to visit the centre before hiring then please contact us using the link below . The centre is managed by volunteers in their spare time. We don’t hold regular open hours, so please do call us before you visit.

Main Hall

A lovely 10m x 10m space with a recently refurbished wooden floor,  bright and airey with beautiful garden and outdoor seating.

 

It can hold up to a maximum of 90 people (depending on the event). It benefits from a small, fully licensed bar which can be made available on request and also has a servery through to our fully fitted kitchen.

 

The hall is kept empty with chairs stacked around the edges and tables in store so that the space is ready for a wide variety of public and private events. ​

 

Our hall can be quickly transformed by the hirer and/or by our talented volunteer dressers into a magical space hosting weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and other social events both public and private.

 

There is a fully fitted kitchen and the lounge next door which is often booked alongside the main hall to give a little extra room or to serve refreshments.

 

Prices are tailored to each event, from £12.00 per hour.

 

Please note: Only alcohol purchased through the bar may be consumed on the premises or in the grounds which includes the car park and the grassed area surrounding the centre.

The Lounge

The lounge is our smaller room with a capacity of 20 people and may be  booked alongside the main hall for evening and larger social functions.

 

It has its’ own servery to the kitchen and a work surface at the far end which is often used to serve buffets.​ Our lounge can be hired separately from the main hall and can be used to host meetings, or as a workspace.

 

Please note the lounge does not have it’s own access to the bar which can only be booked with the main hall.​ As is the case with the main hall only alcohol purchased through the bar can be consumed on the premises or on the grounds.​

Does your function mean you need you to hire the entire Community Centre?

Of course it's possible to book the whole Community Centre exclusively which includes main hall, lounge, the car park area and surrounding grounds.​

 

Our grassed area has picnic benches  and can easily be set up by the hirer with gazebos, more outside seating etc.The car park area has been utilised in the past host to stalls and outside catering vans.
